altrouter is an OpenAI-compatible gateway that provides access to GPT-5, Claude, Gemini and dozens of other top models for text and images through a single key and a single endpoint.

1. What we do

We route requests to upstream model providers and serve them through a single OpenAI-compatible interface. We do not build the models themselves — our job is to make access to them simple, cheap and available from Russia.

2. The problem we solve

The official OpenAI, Anthropic and Google APIs, and aggregators like OpenRouter, hit two walls for a Russian developer: payment works only with a foreign card, and access only through a VPN.

altrouter removes both: pay by Russian card, SBP or crypto; access with no VPN; prices below official; and one key instead of five separate subscriptions and billings.

3. How it works

You get one API key and change only the base URL in your code — the rest is compatible with the OpenAI SDK. Requests fail over between providers automatically, so one provider being down does not take your service down.

Billing is pay-as-you-go: you top up a balance from which request costs are deducted. Spend limits, keys and full request logs live in your dashboard.

4. Pricing transparency

Each model's price is shown on its page and on the models page, computed from the provider's official price, with the discount stated explicitly. We do not mark up over official rates — we serve them cheaper.
