Do I need an OpenAI, Anthropic or Google account?
No. altrouter is the gateway: your requests go to api.altrouter.ai, and we are the ones talking to OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. You only need an account with us.
Do I need a foreign card to pay?
No. You can top up by card, SBP or crypto (USDT, BTC). Virtual cards, intermediaries and dollar-denominated payments are not part of the flow - we hold the balance and settle with the vendors ourselves.
Which models are available?
The catalog holds 101 models from 16 providers: 32 for text (GPT-6 Astra, GPT-5.6, Claude Opus 4.8, Claude Sonnet 5, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Grok 4.6 and others), 35 for images and 34 for video. The interface is OpenAI-compatible: if your code already calls OpenAI, you change the base_url and the key.

Billing is per token, with no subscription and no monthly fee - you pay for what you actually spend. Prices sit below the vendors’ official rates, up to 64% off depending on the model. There are no free models, but a welcome $1 is granted once, for a confirmed Telegram account.

The same OpenAI-compatible API, with payment methods that work from Russia and prices below official ones. The catalog is narrower: there is no DeepSeek and no Anthropic-compatible /v1/messages endpoint, so Claude Code and other tools that target it will not connect. If that is your main scenario, better to know now.
Is it safe to pay, and what happens to my data?
Balance movements - top-ups, holds, captures, releases - form an append-only ledger that is never pruned, so "where did the money go" is answerable for any period. The request log (parameters, model, tokens, cost) is kept for a year; generated files are kept indefinitely, with links that do not expire.
